HONEY

Honey is the oldest sweetener known to man. Early records date back to the Egyptians in 5500 BC but the origin of honeybees can be traced to Southeast Asia. For thousands of years, the only way to gather honey was to find a beehive. However, with advances in agriculture and the evolution of human societies, bees began to be domesticated. The earliest beekeepers or apiarists made hives from old logs or tree trunks to mimic the homes created by wild swarms.

At Apibee too, we practice apiculture or traditional methods of beekeeping to produce honey. We manage our colonies to ensure large and healthy honeybee populations that coincide with major nectar flows. The rich flora and fauna that surrounds our food park, as well as a healthy ecosystem we care to propagate, allows us to produce 18000 MT of honey in a number varieties.
